We want an SEO Content Writer who understands the business of selling with words and optimising those words to be found both by humans and the search engines. You need to be a driven person who doesn’t wait for instructions to make the business and our clients look good on search engines. Whilst delivering quality content in all formats that help us and our partners/clients achieve brand awareness, sales/revenue/lead generations, website traffic and thought leadership goals.

Responsibilities

Your role as an SEO content writer will mainly revolve around optimizing websites for search, building relationships with influential platforms for link-building activities, creating valuable & relevant content that helps us achieve our branding and marketing goals and implementing the content strategy for internal/client projects. You will be required to adhere to industry-standard writing practices, be an avid learner, move fast and deliver results constantly. Your main roles/responsibilities include:

Ideate, create, edit and publish content (articles, video, newsletters, images, infographics, etc.) on appropriate channels
Create and implement a pragmatic SEO strategy for QodeHub and other client projects
Create and implement content strategies to drive QodeHub branding & marketing goals
Manage, promote and constantly update QodeHub blogs and collaborate with relevant third-party platforms to boost content
Manage email lists, send newsletters, emails & valuable content to contact database
Write conversion-driven copy for QodeHub digital marketing initiatives
Maintain and regularly update website content for internal and client projects
Perform regular SEO audits on QodeHub and partner websites, recommend and implement solutions
Monitor Search Rankings, Website Traffic and Content Performance across all channels and create/present reports to the team lead
Closely monitor search algorithm updates, content and search marketing trends to re-strategise where necessary
Any other relevant duties

Requirements

Excellent research, writing, editing, proofreading, communication & presentation skills
Impressive understanding and experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads, Moz, and other SEO tools
Ability to stay on top of issues and work on multiple projects and deliver excellently
Experience in link-building activities and improving the ranking of websites worked on is a plus
Experience using content creation tools e.g Canva, Figma, InShot, etc.
Good appreciation of user experience, user interface & graphic design
Digital Native who can work comfortably with online collaboration tools such as Google Drive, Slack, etc.
Solid understanding of SEO & Content marketing standards, trends & practices
Certification in Marketing, Digital Technologies, Journalism, English or any equivalent relevant education
Effective time & project management skills
A good understanding of International SEO is a plus
Versatile and can create a variety of content for different industries and niches

Remuneration & Working Conditions

Salary Range: GHS 1,500 - GHS 2,000 based on skill level
Contract Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (3 Months Contract liable to an extension or permanent employment based on performance)
